Event Details

On 10 May, the Youth Food Movement will transform the Food Connect warehouse in Rozelle into a pop-up movie theatre and present the inaugural Reel Food Night. Join us for a a stimulating night of conversation and film on the issue that affects us all - food. The Greenhorns will be screened with a pedal-powered projector thanks to Magnificent Revolution and you’ll hear from special guests for a feast of food for thought.

Watch.

The Greenhorns, a film about America’s young farmers, will be screened with a pedal-power projector thanks to Magnificent Revolution.

Eat.

Delicious special-recipe popcorn is included in your ticket and for dinner we’ll have Sydney’s new food trucks on the scene, including the Veggie Patch Van.

Think.

With the average age of a farmer in Australia being 57 years old, who is going to be producing our food in 20 years time?

These and other questions will be addressed by a killer panel including:

Costa Georgiadis of ABC’s Gardening Australia
Julian Lee, founder of Food Connect Sydney
Karl Cooney from Yulli’s restaurant and the Veggie Patch Van
Tobias Bland from Kurrawong Organics

Share in the conversation and take part in a feast of food for thought!

Organizer

Youth Food Movement

We are a volunteer based organisation and our aim is to cultivate a nation-wide movement of informed young adults who are passionate about good food and have the capacity and motivation to support a healthy and sustainable food system.

We hope to foster this large-scale social change, through the delivery of innovative and audacious initiatives and campaigns that mobilise and empower young people to become more food literate.
